Hunter Glen Farm

About Us

We moved to our present location in 2000.  Since then, Hunter Glen riders have competed successfully in local and rated shows, including Zone II hunter finals, WIHS and NAL jumper finals, and have also qualified for and won many equitation classes including H&H, Josey Mohler, MHSA Medal finals, and Gittings finals.

Trainer Terri Wherley has been riding and showing since childhood. She studied riding and horsemanship at Southern Seminary College in Virginia, where she competed in intercollegiate horse shows and attended many clinics with some of the best professionals of the time, including George Morris, Gene Cunningham, Michael Matz, and Rodney Jenkins. After college she began working full-time in the horse industry, gaining additional experience in all phases of horse and stable management, training, and teaching while also opening her own training barn in 1979.

Dave Wherley, Terri’s husband, is an indispensable part of the operation, doing everything from fence repair to ring maintenance to handling business details.  Whatever needs to be done, Dave is always there to lend a hand.
